 I received a delivery text message, and when I clicked on the link, a mobile phone microtransaction was automatically made. What should I do?



   When you have suffered damage by clicking an unconfirmed Internet address (uniform resource locator [URL]) or a link in a text message, you should report it to the police immediately.



 • What is Smishing?  Smishing is a compound word from text messaging (short message service [SMS]) and phishing, a crime method that distributes a malicious app or code via text message, steals information through a mobile phone microtransaction and causes damage with the microtransaction.



 • How to Handle Smishing (1): Where a telecommunication billing service was offered against your will   A telecommunication billing service user may request the service provider (telecommunication company) for a bill correction after learning that the service was provided against his/her will.  The service provider (telecommunication company) shall notify the result within two weeks of receiving such request for correction.



How to Handle Smishing (2): In the case of suffering damage from a mobile phone microtransaction   Confirm and cancel the mobile phone payment  Report the damage to the police   Delete malicious files  Discard and re-issue a joint financial certificate
