Cosmetics Adverse Effects of Cosmetics and Dispute Resolution

How can I resolve an issue that arises after using cosmetics?

A cosmetics-related issue can be resolved by discussing it directly with the seller first. If it is difficult to reach an agreement, the issue can be resolved by conciliation, mediation, or arbitration through Korea Consumer Agency (www.kca.go.kr or ☎044-880-5500) or a consumer organization.

When a cosmetics consumer applies to Korea Consumer Agency or a consumer organization for damage relief, the institution concerned will conduct an investigation and then recommend a settlement with the seller. If a settlement is reached, the consumer will be eligible for a repair, return, replacement, compensation, refund, or other arrangement.

Cosmetics consumers can also contact the Consumer Advice Center (www.ccn.go.kr or ☎1372) run by the Korea Fair Trade Commission for advice on cosmetics-related damage relief.
