Who is eligible for a Marriage Migrant (F-6) visa?



What is a Marriage Migrant (F-6) visa?, Marriage Migrant (F-6) status is a sojourn status granted to foreigners who marry a national of the Republic of Korea. For more information on this sojourn status, please refer to www.hikorea.go.kr



Eligible applicants for a Marriage Migrant (F-6) visa are as follows: A spouse of a Korean citizen; A parent rearing a child born out of a marital relationship (including common-law marriage) with a national that is officially recognized by the Minister of Justice; Or, a person who has stayed in the Republic of Korea as a spouse of a Korean citizen, but is unable to continue the marriage due to the death or disappearance of the spouse or other causes unattributed to the immigrant, and recognized by the Minister of Justice.
